As a senior operations consultation… manager on the ops services product, inventory, marketing and sustainability team, you will be working to operationalize new food innovation ideas, support core food and food share. This work also involves developing field-facing resources, training, and change management plans to support the successful launches of these initiatives.

Our senior operations consultation managers provide operations expertise and consultation on plans, projects, and promotions impacting retail operations. Consultation includes planning for, developing, and testing large and/or highly- complex products, systems and programs within retail operations that deliver customer experiences that enhance and grow the value of the brand. Senior operations consultants work throughout Starbucks to identify opportunities and optimize performance in support of the Starbucks partner, customer, and business.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Prepares the Company’s goals and strategic plans for implementation by developing content, implementation, communication and sustainment plans for assigned projects, programs and initiatives.
o Develops advanced and/or innovative implementation and/or testing strategies to ensure quality, prioritization and operational feasibility prior to rollout.

o Leads multiple tracks of work.
o Sets direction for and coach partners to achieve results; establishes clear expectations, tactics and timelines for assigned projects.
o Collects project feedback and information to identify problems to solve and optimize performance.

o Ensures programs are designed with effective sustainment strategies and can be integrated with existing tools and processes.
o Analyzes and evaluates project interdependencies and their impacts. Works cross-functionally to fully understand interdependencies and ensure solutions support related tracks of work.

Collaborates with peers, manager and director to support and make decisions on strategic initiatives and projects that impact Starbucks retail stores. Provides retail operations perspective and expertise on projects, programs and initiatives to optimize performance relative to sales, profitability and the customer and partner/associate experience.
Ensures all teams working on the projects or program understand and work toward accomplishing the business vision, goals and objectives of the project or program.

Responsible for project deliverables determined by the Global Business Planning team. Partners with the Global Business Planning team and Project Management Office teams (PMO) to ensure accuracy and accountability around roles and responsibilities.
Presents implementation strategies and recommendations to Global Operations leadership utilizing the Retail Operating Model (consideration of the Partner, Customer, and Business impact) as a filter and framework.

Provides consultation to director and program or project owners on test or implementation issues and applicable operational standards.
