Job Duties and Responsibilities of Package Assistant:
Operate a UPS delivery vehicle smoothly and securely, staying in line with traffic and safety regulations to maintain a hazard-free environment.
Your assignment is to retrieve, transport, and dispense packages of assorted shapes and sizes to households and business premises.
Utilize excellent customer service skills to provide a positive delivery experience for all customers.
Individuals must comply with the UPS Uniform and Personal Appearance Guidelines in order to present a professional appearance.
Manage deliveries more effectively by employing the use of handheld technology to optimize route planning.
The use of company-provided clothing is mandatory to conform to UPS’s dress code criteria.
Occupying oneself with work obligations for the full duration of the shift that typically lasts for 8 to 10 hours per day.
Qualifications and Experience of Package Assistant:
Proficient at carrying weights that do not exceed 70 lbs.
A commercial driver’s license may not be necessary provided you have a valid driver’s license that complies with the regulations of your state.
Successfully complete the medical examination for the Department of Transportation.
